Cirrus Cardigan is knitted from the top down in fisherman’s rib. The yoke and body are knitted back and forth, while the sleeves are knitted in the round.
The cardigan’s structure and shape make it feminine and versatile, both for everyday use and for special occasions.
The yoke is knitted back and forth in fisherman’s rib with raglan increases as well as increases for the neckline. The work is then divided into the body and sleeves.
The body is knitted back and forth in fisherman’s rib and is cast off with an i-cord bind off.
The sleeves are knitted in the round from the WS in fisherman’s rib on a small circular needle, double-pointed needles or with the magic loop method. The sleeves have a wide fit and are knitted without decreases down the sleeve.
The sleeves’ stitch counts are halved to create a balloon-effect before the sts are cast off with an i-cord bind off.
Lastly, stitches along both fronts and the neckline are picked up and cast off with an i-cord bond off.
Cirrus Cardigan is construction-free.
